The Project
This site aims to draw together an indicative body of work by Queensland artist Joe Furlonger and as much of the published material and exhibition history of this important Australian artist. This site will evolve constantly and writers, critics and others who have contributions they have made to his career, but which are not yet included are encouraged to contact the site administrators if they wish to be published here.
The Bibliography
Over four decades Furlonger has presented work in hundreds of exhibitions. The ambition here is to document as much of his career for to aid curators, collectors and students in an age when the art book has been sadly dispensed with and the screen age requires a connected and thoughtful digital platform for emerging practitioners, professionals and students of the visual arts.
Collecting
Joe Furlonger has representation with two primary dealers who are committed to his career and their sites can be found here. This platform also provides a virtual stock room for some of the many series of paintings not represented in these gallery stockrooms, especially the works on paper. The works available on this site are direct from the Furlonger Studio.
